A&K Sanctuary Riverboats
The A&K Sanctuary luxury riverboats stylishly explore two of the world’s most extraordinary waterways. These couldn’t be more distinct – the legendary Nile in Egypt, which meanders past the sacred sites of ancient civilisations; and the Peruvian Amazon Basin, a colorful crucible of biodiversity. Yet they share the common thread of A&K Sanctuary’s boutique approach to river cruising.
In Egypt, our five small, chic boats – from boutique cruisers to a handsome, six-suite dahabiya – have fewer guests for a more intimate experience and can often access areas larger ships can’t reach. We have been experts in luxury Nile cruising for more than 50 years, and are consistently voted the best on the river. Local materials and craftsmanship shine in the smart yet sublimely comfortable interiors, while the top deck offers a pool and shaded daybeds for downtime. You’ll want to take a moment to unwind after days spent exploring sights such as Luxor and Aswan, led by our expert Egyptologists as your guides.
Jumping forward from romantic old-world exploration, our state-of-the-art Pure Amazon opened up the mystery and magnificence of Peru when it was launched in 2025. This new addition to the fleet offers quiet luxury in the wilderness, with locally rooted design, a spa pool, sun deck, massage room and gym, plus excellent food that showcases the diverse culinary traditions of Peru. The brilliant local expertise of the team comes into play as your luxury Amazon cruise navigates the remote and wondrous Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, the basin’s largest protected flooded forest.
A&K Sanctuary is a pioneer of the community-first approach. Through our A&K Philanthropy arm, we support and empower the people who live in some of the world’s most precious ecosystems – and help ensure that your dream Nile or Amazon cruise has a positive impact that lasts as long as the memories you take home.
Good To Know
A&K Philanthropy
A commitment to conservation and responsible tourism is in A&K Sanctuary’s DNA. When we opened our first camp in Kenya's Masai Mara in 1999, we pledged to make a positive impact on the areas in which we operate and to nurture enduring collaborative relationships with the communities that live in those places. As we’ve grown, we’ve continued to honour and extend that commitment.
